And we agree. It isn't difficult to put a website on the Internet. But if that website isn't fit for purpose then it is clearly useless.

Which begs the question – what makes a good website – and what is its purpose? And though websites are all different, whether they be commercial, brochure, club, blog or rant, they all have a common purpose. And that is to be visited – to be seen – that the message of the website is communicated to as many people as possible.

It is a marketing tool. And a well designed website is the most cost effective market tool that one can use.

But only if it is well designed.

Our web design process sets out to achieve this. Our partnership of freelance professionals bring together a wealth of talent who have been in the Internet business for well over a decade. Between us we have expertise in web design, marketing, copy writing, public relations, graphic and creative design, publishing and search engine optimization. (SEO).

Our initial meeting is to establish what is required. It is important to outline the purpose of the website and its target audience. Our web designer will come up with a number of designs to be viewed by the client. If you do not have a set of style rules we can help with branding.

Content is important. The copy of a website can make or break it. A bored visitor will soon leave. We are happy to write the copy for you or advise on what works.

It is important that the search engines find your website. This is achieved by search engine optimization – SEO – of which good writing plays an important part.

The website itself is hand-coded. We do not use WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) editors because they can be detrimental to good design and SEO.

The completed website will be build according to W3C standards. The W3C is the main international standards organization for the World Wide Web.

A website built according to these standards will be user friendly and accessible to all browsers
